The 2020 Arizona Gay Rodeo will be February 14-16, 2020 at the Corona Ranch and Rodeo Grounds – 7611 S 29th Avenue – Laveen (Phoenix), Arizona.  (Southeast corner of S 29th Avenue and W Baseline Road). The rodeo is an IGRA-sanctioned rodeo, and all 2020 IGRA Rules apply. The rodeo is not a limited rodeo.

Start time for the rodeo is 10:00 am Saturday-February 15 and Sunday-February 16.  The ticket office and gate to the venue will open at 9:00 am each day.  The awards ceremony will be at 8:00 pm Sunday-February 16.

A complimentary shuttle will be provided from the host hotel to and from the rodeo grounds on a pre-determined schedule. See the schedule under the schedules and hotel links.

All rodeo activities and events will be at the rodeo venue.

Rodeo events include:  Bull Riding, Steer Riding, Chute Dogging, Calf Roping on Foot, Mounted Breakaway Roping, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Flag Race, Team Roping, Steer Decorating, Wild Drag Race, and Goat Dressing.  Bareback Bronc riding and Ranch Saddle Bronc Riding will not be offered.

A full-service bar will be open in the pavilion at 4:00 pm on Friday and 10:00 am on Saturday and Sunday.

“Games on the green” (a variety of games for kids and adults) will take place outside the pavilion from noon until 4:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Grand Entry will take place on Saturday and Sunday approximately at 1:00 pm each day.


There is a $5.00 parking fee per vehicle each day beginning at 4:00 pm Friday and 8:00 am Saturday and Sunday.   This fee is charged by the venue, and is totally out of AGRA’s control.


Rodeo admission is $15.00 each day – Saturday and Sunday.    Tickets are for individual days, and discounted weekend tickets are not available.  Tickets may be purchased on line at, or in the ticket booth at the rodeo venue.


Our host hotel is the Holiday Inn Phoenix West at 1500 N 51st Ave (on the west side of N 51st Ave just north of I-10)    The room rate is $119.00 plus tax per night for king or double room.  The reservation deadline is January 17, 2020.   Reservations after January 17, 2020 will be accepted on a space-available basis. Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the arrival date, or you will be charged one (1) night’s room and tax. No-shows will be charged one (1) night’s room and tax.    Reservations can be made by calling (602) 484-9009 and asking for the Arizona Gay Rodeo room block. Entertainment and dancing will be on-going inside the pavilion beginning at 8:00 pm Friday, 1:00 pm Saturday and Sunday and continuing following the awards ceremony on Sunday. See the Entertainment link for more information.

Party buses will run from Charlie’s to the rodeo grounds and return to Charlie’s on Saturday and Sunday on a pre-determined schedule. Tickets must be purchased in advance. See the Party Bus link for more details.


A RV Park, with limited spaces, is across S 29th Avenue. Spaces are available Thursday-February 13 through Sunday-February 16. All rigs and equipment must be removed by noon Monday – February 17. Details are available under the RV Park link on the AGRA website.
