We are pleased to announce that the 36th Annual Arizona Gay Rodeo is scheduled for February 18-20, 2022 at the Corona Ranch and Rodeo Grounds – 7611 S 29th Avenue – Laveen (Phoenix) AZ 85339. The rodeo is a two-day event on Saturday and Sunday, and attendance each day averages between 2,500 and 3,500.  Unfortunately, we were unable to hold the 2021 rodeo due to the COVID 19 pandemic; but we are looking forward to producing a bigger and better rodeo in 2022.

A full weekend of activities is planned with a rodeo school on Friday, rodeo competition on Saturday and Sunday, dancing and entertainment Friday through Sunday, and culminating with the awards ceremony and party on Sunday evening. Additionally, a “survivors’ brunch” is planned for the Monday – February 21, 2022, and a rodeo volunteers party is planned for the Friday – February 25, 2022. 

The International Gay Rodeo Association 2022 Royalty Competition has been added as a special event  in the pavilion on the rodeo grounds on Friday and Saturday evenings. Also, a complimentary BBQ type buffet is planned for Friday evening.

Rodeo profits are distributed to various charitable organizations; and from the 2020 rodeo, AGRA gave a total of $20,000.00 to eight (8) different worthy organizations. It is our hope to produce a financially successful 2022 rodeo so we can again give money to other organizations.

Sponsorships help enable us to have a successful and fun rodeo, and all sponsorships are greatly appreciated. All sponsors are announced throughout the rodeo, advertised in the arena, and also given the opportunity to present your respective award on Sunday evening.

We realize that the 2020 year was certainly not a good year for most businesses and organizations, and many are still in a recovery phase.  But, we want to reach out to you and give you an opportunity to become a sponsor.  The various sponsorship opportunities are listed on the attached page.  Of course, we are also open to working with you to create a “special sponsorship” package that would meet your individual needs and considering your sponsorship level.

Deadline for all sponsorships, including full payment, is Wednesday – January 12, 2022. This deadline is established in order to allow sufficient time to complete the program layout and have it printed for the rodeo.
