ARTICLE XV AGRA HALL OF FAME
15.1 Description
The Hall of Fame honors individuals who have provided for the development
and growth of gay rodeo, or who have accrued an outstanding record or
achieved a prominent position in the sport.
15.2 Committee
A. The President shall appoint a committee consisting of a minimum of
five (5) AGRA Members, and identify one individual as Committee
Chair.
B. The President shall appoint the committee by the March Board
Meeting in each year.
15.3 Administration
A. The Hall of Fame shall be administered by the AGRA Hall of Fame
Committee.
B. The committee shall be responsible for the administration of the
Hall of Fame, including implementation of the rules and selection
of inductees.
15.4 Nominations
A. Each nominee must have substantially advanced the development
and growth of gay rodeo or have accrued an outstanding record or
achieved a prominent position in the sport.
B. No person shall be nominated because of a financial contribution.
15.5 Nominating Procedure
A. Nominations must be made an AGRA Member and submitted on
the Hall of Fame Nomination Form.
B. Nominations must be received by September 1 of each year.
C. The nomination form shall be submitted to the President via e-mail
attachment as shown on the form.
D. The President shall keep on file a copy of all submitted nomination forms.
E. All individuals nominated shall remain on the list of nominees until such
time as they may be selected for induction into the Hall of Fame
15.6 Selection Procedure
A. The committee shall vote no later than November 1 of each year on
whether to induct each nominee.
B. A majority of votes is necessary for induction.
C. There shall be no minimum of maximum number of inductees in a
given year.
15.7 Award
A. Each inductee into the Hall of Fame shall receive their choice of a
buckle or wall plaque.
B. The design for either award shall include the AGRA Logo, the words
“AGRA Hall of Fame”, the year of induction and the inductee’s name.
C. Each inductee’s name shall be included in the Hall of Fame section
on the AGRA website. This site shall include all inductees names,
reason for induction, and photo, if available.
15,8 Induction Ceremony
A. The Hall of Fame induction ceremony shall take place at the AGRA
Annual Corporation Meeting and Banquet.
B. AGRA will cover the meal cost for each inductee and one (1) guest.
C. In the case of a posthumous induction, AGRA will cover the meal
cost for a maximum of two (2) heirs, relatives, or close friends of the
inductee.
D. Inductees may invite additional guests to attend, provided AGRA is
notified in advance, and the cost of additional meals is paid in advance.
